Custom work gets your message across visually

It doesn’t matter what industry you serve – coming up with a unique idea will help set you apart from the competitors. We’re currently working on a great example of this, and we have a virtual red forest sprouting in our shop right now for a client.

Kohler Engines manufactures small engines for riding lawn mowers, garden tractors, walk-behind lawn mowers, concrete construction equipment, outdoor power equipment, welders, pressure washers and other products. It’s a company known for innovation and for engine efficiency. With this display, Kohler Engines is able to simply and visually illustrate what this means to end users.

The custom display, which is part of a tent kit, utilizes gas cans to show end users how much money they can save annually in gas costs by using a very common item: Gas cans. A banner stand is used to explain the full details, but it’s the gas cans that first catch your attention.

It’s a strong visual that’s really resonating with the dealer-distributors.  What’s even better is that this display stand can be used with the tent, which is available in two size options, or alone in the dealer-distributor showroom for maximum impact.

Incorporating industry specific items in unique ways is a great way to get noticed. As this example shows, it’s not a matter of complexity. It can be something quite simple that easily illustrates your message.

Exhibit Systems hosts blood drive for the BloodCenter of Wisconsin

More than 30 people, including Exhibit Systems employees, family and friends from the community, stopped in to donate.

Being a blood donor is a relatively easy thing to do, but we made it even easier by hosting the BloodCenter of Wisconsin’s Bloodmobile unit in our parking lot on May 13.

“This is the second time Exhibit Systems has hosted a blood drive, and this time we had more than 30 people participate,” said Patrick Brooks.

Every month, Exhibit Systems employees focus on a different Point of Culture and incorporate unique activities that illustrate each point.

“Our blood drive was actually part of our March Point of Culture: Reliable,” explained Brooks. “However, we postponed the activity due to our move, and I think that actually helped increase our participation because our new location in Brookfield is in such a great location.”

This year, donors included Exhibit Systems employees, friends, family and community members. Exhibit Systems, in conjunction with Champion Logistics Group, also made sure that donors were well rewarded with snacks and beverages, including chocolate-covered strawberries.

The need for blood donations never stops. According to the BloodCenter of Wisconsin, patients in local hospitals use nearly 800 pints of blood every day, and only about half of that is collected at the BloodCenter’s donor centers. In the Milwaukee area, the BloodCenter of Wisconsin supplies 100 percent of the blood used to more than 50 community hospitals. Mobile blood drives are a critical part of meeting that ongoing need in communities … and a very rewarding way for all of us to do our part in saving lives.

We have Strengthened our Team with New Project Management, Front Office Employees

Exhibit Systems has two employees to our professional team.

Susan Snow brings nearly two decades of experience in exhibit and trade show marketing to her new role as project manager at Exhibit Systems. Leanne Copus joins the company as an accounting specialist.

The two begin work in the spacious new Brookfield home of Exhibit Systems. We have moved into the newly remodeled 46,000 square-foot-building, at 12600 W. Burleigh Road, in February. The new location more than doubles the production area and showroom space of its former Menomonee Falls location, where it had operated since 2006.

Giving Tree Program

Exhibit Systems is participating in the Giving Tree Program, where we provide Christmas gifts to needy families. Our entire company feels it’s important to give back to our community, as we have received so much more in return. Please join Exhibit Systems in being charitable this Christmas season and remembering those less fortunate.

New Building Progress

We can hardly wait! We feel like kids waiting for Christmas. We’re chomping at the bit to move into our new headquarters building.

Tremendous progress has been made on converting the old Koconis Industries office and warehouse at 12600 W. Burleigh Road into the new Brookfield home of Exhibit Systems.

Trucks of all types are parked around, dozens of workers buzz in and out. The property resembles a major construction site. Between work on the roof, electrical system, heating and air conditioning, parking lot and interior office space, the former owners probably wouldn’t even recognize the place.

Soon enough the new Exhibit Systems office will spring to life just a few miles south of our present location. An empty building will be reborn as an ultra-modern showcase where we’ll have more than twice the space to design and manufacture more award winning exhibits and displays.

We anticipate moving in January. And as mentioned before, we’ll be having an open house to celebrate. We’ll see you then!

Exhibition Industry’s Future Looks Bright

Let’s face it: the past few years have been hard on business. The exhibition industry took its lumps, too. Fortunately, all indicators point to a strong rebound that began some time ago.

The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) reports that the exhibit industry recently recorded its eighth straight quarter of growth, with more growth likely ahead. The increases have consistently matched or exceeded growth in our nation’s gross domestic product. As important – especially for those companies and organizations that rely on marketing at trade shows and conventions – the number of attendees at events grew 4.3 percent from last year.

Why the success, especially during an economy that still makes many prognosticators nervous?  It’s simple. Most businesses and organizations view face-to-face interaction – the type that occurs at trade shows – as extremely valuable for evaluating vendors and suppliers before buying from them.

CEIR studies have shown that exhibitions consistently attract attendees with purchasing authority, and the face time at these events allows new prospects that otherwise would have remained unknown.

Exhibit Systems is a long time believer in the power of face-to-face marketing. There’s something about being able to look a person in the eye, shake his or her hand and speak directly with them that a computer screen will never match. Psychologists often speak of the basic human need for social engagement. Research notwithstanding, successful businesses understand that creating relationships creates commerce.

The Exhibition Industry relies on this principle. Its future keeps brightening as companies and organizations reinvest in the events that generate coveted face time.

Exhibit Systems – 20th Anniversary

Time flies, and we at Exhibit Systems certainly know this – 2012 marks our 20th year in business!

The changes we’ve seen have been, well, pretty amazing. Two decades ago, we never could have imagined we would be doing the type of projects like this one we recently completed: An 18-foot exhibit with 10 large screen monitors, used to demonstrate a new search engine product for perhaps the best-known software company in the world.  Of course, 20 years ago the term “search engine” wasn’t even conceived!

Many things haven’t changed, though.  The power of personal interaction that our displays and exhibits help promote hasn’t wavered and, even in this age of technology, might be stronger than ever. Business is built on relationships.  We’re proud to make products that help our customers forge new relationships and stronger organizations.

Our commitment to you, our customers and business partners, has never been stronger.  We thank you.  We sincerely hope to be thanking you again in 2032, when we celebrate our 40th birthday.  While that date might seem far away, experience has shown it will probably be here before we know it.

Gov Scott Walker visits Exhibit Systems

It was a busy morning at Exhibit Systems today, as Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was asked to do a live interview for the CNBC network, and we hosted him along with a camera crew and satellite link-up truck.

Gov. Walker answered questions concerning the Paul Ryan selection during the live interview for the CNBC morning show Squawk Box.

You couldn’t really tell that he was at our company from the clip, but it was fun for us and hopefully good for the business!

Outstanding Customer Service

“I often feel like we’re your only client because you continuously provide such outstanding customer service.”

We recently had a client/vendor evaluation meeting with one of our larger clients. The discussion was very positive and included the above comment from their trade show manager. She continues…

“Exhibit Systems provides all the capabilities of the largest trade show companies out there, yet provides the service and relationship focus of the smallest…  This can be said for every one of your employees at any given time on any given project. Your project management and attention to detail is outstanding. I’ve received a great amount of very positive feedback from many internal customers in regards to their dealings with Exhibit Systems.”

Do you feel this way about your trade show supplier? Give us a call to discuss ways we can help you experience how it should be.

Blood Drive at Exhibit Systems

We are very proud that our organization has scheduled a blood drive with BloodCenter of Wisconsin for April 19, 2012. As you receive information on this drive, I urge you to schedule an appointment to donate. It is important that we maintain an ample blood supply in our community, and that can only be done with BloodCenter of Wisconsin, as they supply 100% of the blood to every community hospital in our area. The blood you donate will save lives right here.

Patients are counting on receiving this blood to help them survive or heal. Let’s all participate and make this blood drive a success for all of us. If you haven’t signed up yet, please consider doing so. You’ll be doing more good than you know.
